"THE SCENT OF TAANA" FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION has opened at the Mongol Art Gallery. Exhibition dates: 04/25-05/04
The opening ceremony of artist Burmaagiin Munkhburen's first exhibition "The Scent of Taana" was successfully concluded with the attendance of the artist's family, colleagues, and honorary guests."I am presenting this exhibition to my audience by intertwining the memories that remained with me from my childhood among the blue mountains and low brown hills of my homeland, combined with all the experiences I've seen and encountered throughout my life. In my work, I aimed to capture and depict the lifestyle and culture of nomadic people living in the vast afternoon gobi, breathing the pure air that fills one's chest. Using watercolor and oil painting techniques, I preferred to write boldly with light brush strokes." "Taana" (Таана) appears to refer to a type of wild leek or wild onion that grows in Mongolia, so the exhibition title "The Scent of Taana" is referring to the fragrance of this plant that is native to the artist's homeland.
