Урлаг гэж юу вэ? гэх асар өргөн цар хүрээтэй асуултыг дэлхийн шилдэг профессорууд ч лекцийнхаа эхэнд асуух нь олонтаа. Уг асуулт нь “Би хэн бэ?” гэсэн асуулттай мөн чанарынхаа хувьд агаар нэг юм. Хүмүүн бүрийн амьдрал, цаг хугацаа, орон зай нь тухайн хүнийг бүтээдэг бөгөөд дурсамж болоод мэдрэмжүүд нь маш хувийн шинж чанартай хийгээд дахин давтагдашгүй. Урлаг яг л үүнтэй ижил. Урлаг болоод урлагийн бүтээл нэг бүр нь үл давтагдам, гүн гүнзгий утга агуулга бүхий хувь хүний үзэл бодол, шинж чанарыг агуулсан байх тусмаа хүртэж буй үзэгчиддээ хүчтэй нөлөөлдөг. Өөрөөр хэлбэл хүртэж чадах нь л хүртдэг гэсэн үг. Бид өөр өөрийн хөг аялгуугаар хөглөгдөн, хүмүүний орчлонд нийцэх нэгэнтэйгээ нийцэж, уусан амьдардагтай утга нэг. Гэхдээ хувийн үзэл бодол, шинж чанарыг гүн гүнзгий агуулах нь бусдын эрх ашгийг хөндөж буй хэрэг огтоос биш. Харин, урлаг гээчийг ойлгож, гүнзгий танилцах тусам бид өөрийгөө илүү ойлгож, танин мэдэж, мөн мэдрэмжүүдтэйгээ шинээр танилцсаар байдаг. Урлагийг гайхамшигт хүч нь үүнд л оршино.

What is art?
This profoundly broad and timeless question is often posed at the beginning of lectures by some of the world’s leading professors. In essence, it mirrors the equally fundamental question: “Who am I?” Every individual is shaped by their own life, time, and space—memories and sensations that are deeply personal and never to be replicated. Art is much the same. Each artistic creation carries a unique and layered meaning, reflecting the inner world and individuality of its creator. The more personal and authentic a work is, the more powerful its impact on the audience. In other words, art resonates only with those ready to receive it. We each carry our own rhythm, harmonizing with those who align with our frequency—coexisting, intertwining. And yet, expressing personal perspective and individuality in art does not infringe upon others’ rights. On the contrary, the more deeply we engage with art, the more profoundly we come to understand ourselves. We encounter new facets of our emotions and gain insight into our own nature. This is the true power and wonder of art. This past January, our team of artists embarked on an inspiring journey to the stunning island of Koh Phangan, Thailand, where time seemed to stand still. Immersed in moments of discovery and fresh emotion, each artist translated their unique experiences and memories into the works now presented in this exhibition. Over the course of two weeks, eight artists traveled together as one creative team. It was a journey none of us will forget, and the works born from that time are a testament to its significance.
We warmly invite you to join us this Friday, March 28 at 17:00, for the opening of our exhibition at the newly opened Dugut Gallery, located just west of School No. 5.
