About the exhibition:
The photographs being displayed at the “Lost and Found in the Gobi” photography exhibition were taken as part of the field work of the joint Mongolian - Polish “Tsakhiurtiin Valley: Ancient Lakes, Ancient Caves” archaeological project. The photographs showcase how the scientists, archaeologists and researchers of both countries conducted their work in the Gobi (Ömnögovi).
This project began 8 years ago and was successfully completed by 2024. The researchers of the project have already published and released internationally their research results, reports and presentations. Then the “Lost and Found in the Gobi” exhibition serves as a report of my work for the project and this exhibition specifically emphasizes the role of photography as a means of documentation.
