800 LIVE HORSES - by CHAOLUN BAATAR

28 September - 02 October, 2019
Norphei Art Gallery

Norphei art gallery is proud to present an unique exhibition by Chaolun Baatar born in Mongolia, raised and graduated in Inner Mongolia and Beijing.. 800 LIVE HORSES is the artistic project that has been followed by Chaolun Baatar's Burning Toono in 2005. For three days – August 9 through August 11, 2019 –  the prairies in Esonsuil Sum Uvurkhangai Aimar, Mongolia were reimagined. On August 10, at 11 am a group of 100 riders and 50 temporary helpers, young artists and college students, lay the 18,837 square feet (1750 square meters) burlaps on the vast prairie stretching to the horizon. 500 kilograms of acrylics are splashed impromptu by artist and run through by 800 Mongolian steeds for hours. This exhibition is open for all public until October 2.
