OCHIRBOLD Ayurzana
/b.1976/

Born in 1976 in Mongolia, he studied at the Mongolian University of Arts and Culture in Ulaanbaatar. Varying in material, form and perspective, the horse as one of Mongolia's most well-know cultural figures is a recurring topic in Ochirbold's oeuvre. Ten large-scale sculptures by Ochirbold are set up in public places across Mongolia. His works have been included in numerous exhibitions in Germany, Korea, China, Russia and Mongolia. Since 2014 his artistic concept "consciousness" is based on his observations of the society, the human being and their behavior today. He asks how our conscious- ness changes in a globalized world and represents the great information flood, the cloud to challenge. A cloud that unites our thinking, but also endangers our national and regional individuality.
