BEGINNING the exhibition explores the timeline of Mongolia's contemporary art scene and its pioneers. Curated by Uranchimeg Tsultem, the associate professor at the University of Berkley, University of California, the project highlights eight artist's who made considerable impact at the turn of the system in 1989-1990 these pioneers founded collectives and societies such as Green Horse, Mongolian New Art Association, Sita Art, Ego Art etc. This re-examination of the approach to contemporary art and its tendency that will emphasise nowadays viewers will likely to pose a new question on our whereabouts in the world of contemporary art.
