“The world we live in is filled with technological gadgets, Internet, and instant information. Nothing shocks us anymore. We have all seen it if not done it. In order to attract attention media producers: journalists and everyday Joe bring out for the eyes of the viewers the most gruesome news content as possible. People stopped expressing themselves freely because we are afraid of all the cameras ready to document us whenever we act unusually.”
Namuun Baatarjav is exploring the concept of sublime. She is process artist. Her work is deeply connected to her inner transformation thus her work content, technique, and choice of medium goes through many changes during the process. Her work takes drastic changes between her initial idea and final result. She states that her work teaches her valuable life lessons.
