Born in 1970 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, graduated from the Mongolian College of Fine Arts in 1990 and the Institute of Fine Arts in 1993, masters in 1996 at the Mongolian University of Arts and Culture. Innovative Mongolian artist who aims to combine traditional Mongolian painting style so called Mongol zurag with modern painting techniques.
His well-known works include Rich Mongolia is part of the UNESCO Art Collection. He exhibited numerous solo shows in Japan, Belgium, France, Austria, Germany, China and Holland.
Mongolian nomadic life, unique customs and tradition are the subject of Bayart-Od's paintings. The artist focuses on creations that arose from his own mind. Working in oil on canvas he uses the mellowing tones that oils provide to give his paintings an understanding of hidden images. His ways of using innovative techniques to create a distinctively dynamic style in his rendition of traditional nomadic life in Mongolia and a historical culture that is now rarely seen in present-day life.
