Public Art Weekend is organized by Nomadic Red Corner, on the occasion of launching International Artists’ Ger Residency and artistic neighbourhood, created near to the “Magic Land 2” Community Development Center at Uliastai Ger District of Ulaanbaatar city.
Nomadic Red Corner is an initiative by Art Space 976, launched in 2020 with the aim to bring art closer to the Ger Districts of Ulaanbaatar city. Since its establishment, Red Corner has been implementing fascinating projects together with various organizations, artists and local community to create artistic neighbourhoods. Through its residency program, Red Corner plans to expand its collaboration with international artists and curators, beginning from 2022.
The current program is funded by the International Relief Fund, an initiative of the Goethe-Institut and the German Federal Foreign Office, and the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia and implemented in partnership with Magic Land 2 Community Center.
Art Weekend will be open for the public on 18 and 19 December, 2021, offering exhibitions, performances, sound experiments and public art programs at the community center.
